This photo is called "
A Railroad Artifact, 30th Street" by Joel Sternfeld. It shows a portion of New York City's High Line, a stretch of elevated railroad tracks that were shut down in the 1980s. I love this photograph because is shows the urban grit of the city being infiltrated by nature. It's sort of a clash between past and present and I find that very interesting.
